FASHION FRIDAYS: “NIGHT FEVER”

Night Fever – Hot disco nights serve as the ideal backdrop for Andrew Yee’s (Atelier Management) latest work in How to Spend It Magazine. Starring Barbara de Creddo and Tsanna as two ’70s revivalists, the designs of Lanvin, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and others take center stage with Damian Foxe’s ultra-glam stylings.  To get this amazing Disco feel in the form of big hair, I wrapped small sections around a 1/2″ curling wand to get the texture throughout.   Then, with a small toothed comb and a lot of hairspray, I teased the root and lifted the hair.  By running my fingers through the curls and separating them, it gave an overall shape and natural feel.  Big hair, combined with the perfect placement of the wind, ensured that this hair felt and looked 70′s Disco fab!

WILD BUNS AND THICK BRAIDS

These wild buns, and crazy, long thick braids are oddly mesmerizing. With the striking eye makeup, the models look so serious and a little intimidating. At the Infashion Blancox by Alado, Juan and Little Lucia during Colombiamoda 2011 at Plaza Mayor on July 26, 2011 in Medellin, Colombia, the show really felt like a performance. For some reason, it reminds me a little of “Big Love” gone wild…..anyone else? Check out these pics and let me know what you all think!
