Fashion editor Grace Coddington styled Lara Stone in 1950′s inspired ensembles for Mert & Marcus’ photo editorial entitled “Sweater Girl” in this month’s U.S. Vogue. From the thick blue cable-knit sweater donned for her morning coffee through the various stylized activities, like watching the baby, gardening, or reading a book, Lara Stone maintains a perfect, flawless set in her blonde locks. Her hairstyle is so perfect, without a piece out of place, that combined with her distracted, unsettling gaze, it gives this editorial a greater depth. With all her different looks, from mommy to sex kitten, we get the sense that while her exterior is impeccable, there is something sinister lurking nearby. It is because of the absolute perfection of her look, that the contrast, while subtle is so powerful.
